Photo above: Base of photo shows sandstone with many vertical burrows followed by jarosite stained seatearth underlying a thin coal - part of a typical cyclothem.

 

Some of the members next to the Green's Haven Fault exposed in the cliff, (Grid Ref NU005 540) near Berwick upon Tweed. The leader, Dr. Ken Patterson, is 2nd from the right. The less resistant shales on the left, in the lower half of the cliff, are upturned near the fault plane which dips about 50 deg. to the left.

Disturbances due to the Meadow Haven fault can be seen running left to right near centre of  photo.

Ladies Skerrs Dome,truncated towards the sea by the Green's Haven fault.
